For over thirty-eight years, Dr. Simmons has worked with students, helping them build their dreams, accelerate their results, and create richer, more fulfilling lives.
Dr. Simmons has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Education:Guidance and Counseling, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Christian Counseling. She is particularly interested in Career Development and has conducted extensive research on the relationship between occupational choice, personality type and job satisfaction.
Dr. Simmons has been a teacher in several school systems and states, a school counselor, A Christian Education Director of Adults and Youth at the District level and a National Sales Director.
As a National Sales Director in the private sector, Dr.Simmons traveled all over the United States calling on Fortune 500 Companies, interacting with their CEO's, their Presidents and other key employees . Her clients consisted of numerous federal governmental agencies, professional organizations and many colleges and universities. She has appeared on local television stations discussing her work with students as well as her collaborative efforts with other stakeholders in the educational process.
The coveted title of 'Walmart Teacher of the Year' has been bestowed upon Dr. Simmons and she has been the local recipient of the prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award.
